November 10, 2021—Richardson Sales Performance announced today that their customer -- AmerisourceBergen MWI Health—has been awarded with a Brandon Hall Award for excellence in the Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development category.

The 2021 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards are given for work in Learning and Development, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Sales Performance, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Future of Work. AmerisourceBergen’s MWI Veterinary Supply Division was awarded a bronze award for excellence in the Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development category.

The award was given to MWI Animal Health, supported by Richardson, for their implementation of a Consultative Selling Training programme for 400+ associates. With the goal of enhancing customer relationships and adding more value in day-to-day engagements, the learning and development team at AmerisourceBergen rolled out a multi-stage approach to learning and behaviour change including: pre-classroom online learning, assessments to track progress, virtual classroom sessions, and reinforcement modules to ensure they applied new skills back on the job.

MWI’s Director of Commercial Learning and Development Jeanne Delancey believes that the training was an important contributor to exceeding 2020 & 2021 fiscal year targets because “engagement in the programme drives proficiency. Proficiency drives behaviour.”

“Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards in 2021 provide much-needed and well-deserved recognition to organisations that went above and beyond to support their stakeholders during the unprecedented disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Brandon Hall Group COO and leader of the HCM Excellence Awards Programme Rachel Cooke. “The awards provide validation of best practises in all areas of HCM at a time when they have never been more important to employers, employees and customers.”

Entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group analysts and executives based upon these criteria: fit the need, design of the programme, functionality, innovation and overall measurable benefits.
