PHILADELPHIA - December 6, 2002 - Linda Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Richardson, a leading sales training and consulting firm, has been honored as a recipient of the 2002 Women of Distinction Award by the Philadelphia Business Journal and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Linda and the other honorees were recognized at the December 5th Awards Banquet and are profiled in a special section of the Business Journal's December 6th issue.

In its fifth year, the Women of Distinction program recognizes women leaders in the greater Philadelphia region's business community. Selected from over 400 nominees, this year's winners represent the top of their respective fields and are chosen based on their professional accomplishments, awards, and contributions to the community.

Linda is recognized as a thought leader in the sales training industry. She has written 9 books on selling including her most recent works "Stop Telling, Start Selling" and "Sales Coaching-Making the Great Leap from Sales Manager to Sales Coach." She has been published extensively in industry and training journals and has been featured in numerous publications including Forbes, Nation's Business, Selling, Selling Power, Success, The Conference Board Magazine, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Most recently, Linda was identified by Fortune Small Business as one of the "Top 10 Minds." Linda also teaches sales and management courses at the Wharton Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania and at the Wharton Executive Development Center.
