Why do I have to log back in?
The Learning Management System (LMS) has a timeout. If the LMS is left idle for more than 30 minutes, you will need to log back in.

Why can’t I log in?
The LMS says that my password is incorrect.

Passwords are case-sensitive. Ensure that Caps Lock mode is off. If you still have problems, use the Reset Password button on the Login screen. Enter your User Name and click the Submit button. An email containing a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address provided in your account. If you still have problems, please email: support@quickskills.net.

How do I change my password?
If you are registered with QuickSkills, you may change your password at any time in the LMS. When you are logged in to the LMS click Password in the Account section of the Navigation bar and enter:

  • Your old password
  • Your new password
  • Your new password again as a confirmation

Then:

  • Click Save to save your additions and changes
  • Click Reset to reset the fields to the values that existed before you made any changes

I forgot my username
If you have forgotten your username please contact Richardson QuickSkills Customer Support.

I forgot my password.
If you have forgotten your password use the Reset Password button on the Login screen. Enter your User Name and click the Submit button. An email containing a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address provided in your account.

Why is my course not showing in the Activities section?
You may need to enroll in the course or you may have completed the course and it now longer is visable under the Current course view. To enroll in a course:

  • Click on the Catalog tab and select the Category that matches your group name.
  • Click the Enroll Me button below the course or program you wish to take.

How do I view all of my courses?
In order to see all of the courses for which you are enrolled or have completed, click Activities tab in the Navigation Bar and select All in the Include drop down list. You will now see a view that displays your Enrolled and Transcript Courses and Certifications.

What are the minimum system requirements?
QuickSkills Minimum client system requirements are:

  • Processor – Suitable for OS used
  • RAM – Suitable for OS used
  • Operating System – Windows 2000 or newer, Apple OS X v10.5 or newer
  • 56k or faster web connection recommended
  • Screen Resolution 1024 x 768 or higher
  • Web Browser – Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Google Chrome, Safari 4 or higher
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader v8.0 or higher
  • Macromedia Flash v9.0 or higher
  • Popup blockers are not supported and must be turned off or set to: www.quickskills.net.
  • Sound card strongly recommended

How do I edit my personal information?
You may change your personal information at any time when you are logged in to the LMS by clicking Profile in the Account section of the Navigation bar.

Fill in or change the appropriate fields on the Profile screen. Required fields are denoted with an ‘R’ on the left side of the field.

Then:

  • Click Save to save your additions and changes
  • Click Reset to reset the fields to the values that existed before you made any changes

Why do I get a blank screen after I click to start a course?
This may occur from one of two issues:

1) You do not have Macromedia Flash installed. Macromedia Flash Player is a free plugin which can be downloaded from Macromedia’s website. Please speak with your network administrator to have this installed.

2) You have a pop-up blocker installed that is preventing the QuickSkills content from appearing. Please ensure your pop-up blocker is set to allow www.quickskills.net.

Why can’t I see the course my instructor asked me to take?
Richardson QuickSkills has Programs and Courses. Courses are eLearning training modules that are sometimes placed in Programs. Please ask your instructor which Program contains your desired course. You can also find a complete list of our Programs and Courses at this link: Program Listing

Why do I get “Enrollment Count Exceeded” when I try to enroll into a course?
You have already enrolled into the course, and are attempting to do so again. Please click on the Activities tab to locate your course and select All from the drop down menu in the Include section. Click on Start to begin taking the course.
