Designers at Richardson are responsible for using Richardson proprietary design methodologies to customize training and train-the-trainer programs for our clients. This includes designing and customizing training in the areas of sales, customer service, negotiations, presentations, prospecting, and coaching. During the design process, Designers work with our clients to understand the specific needs of the audience group and manage the customization of the training to meet those needs. Designers manage an internal team of associates and production to deliver final training curricula that meets and exceeds client expectations.


Other responsibilities:

  • Preparing project implementation plans
  • Interviewing client contact(s) to gain relevant customizing information
  • Developing agendas and participant handbooks
  • Writing sales, negotiation, coaching, and performance management cases and exercises
  • Writing leader’s notes for trainers
  • Reviewing all final materials for client delivery
  • Communicating with client contacts throughout project phases (customizing, delivery, follow up)
  • Identifying additional sales opportunities
  • Ensuring complete and accurate client files
  • Coordinating work flow with Associates and Production

A background of five or more years in sales training design or skill based training design is necessary. Consulting experience and instructional design knowledge desired.
